The Tamil Nadu government has suddenly hiked the town and outstation bus fares which has been doubled since the 20th of January. The majority of people are dependant on the public bus service and are greatly affected not only due to shelling out the extra amount but also to put up with broken seats and windows.
G.V.Prakash has voiced his concern regarding the bus fare hike and has stated that it is largely the poor and the illiterate who use the public transport and will affect them to a great extent. He has requested the government to cancel the fare hike which would be the best service to the people now.
While even the Rajinis and Kamals who are into active politics have ignored this issue, GVP has shown consistency in taking up the causes of the Tamil people.
