On a day when Pawan Kalyan has announced a donation of Rs 2 Cr towards handling the COVID-19 outbreak in India (Rs 1 Cr will go to AP and Telangana), Ram Charan has announced Rs 70 lakh as his contribution to the CM Relief Funds of the Telugu States. The ‘RRR’ actor has debuted on Twitter (a day after his father Chiranjeevi did) to make this welcome announcement.
“Hope this tweet finds you in good health. At this hour of crisis, inspired by Pawan Kalyan garu, I want to do my bit by contributing to aid the laudable efforts of our governments… Hope you all are staying safe at home!” Mega Power Star said.
Charan also lauded the efforts of Narendra Modi, K Chandrasekhar Rao and Jaganmohan Reddy towards fighting COVI-19.
What is noteworthy is that Charan has made it a point to mention the Jana Sena Chief’s inspiration for making the monetary contribution. “As a responsible citizen, I encourage one and all to strictly abide by their rules and recommendations,” Charan said.
