Producer Rakesh Reddy has on Monday revealed that the Election Commission has okayed the release of ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’. The political thriller will hit the screens on March 29.
Earlier in the day, the producer submitted the film to EC’s Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, which found that its scenes and dialogues don’t violate the prevailing Model Code of Conduct.
“The EC is satisfied with the answers I gave them regarding the film’s content. I will need to appear before it if there arise any complaints post the release of the movie,” the producer stated.
“I told the EC that ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ doesn’t offend the sensibilities of anybody. We have made the film telling the story of a phase in NT Rama Rao’s life. The content is based on a book written by Lakshmi Parvathi. Jaganmohan Reddy garu is the leader of the political party I am associated with. He is not related to me in any way,” he added.
