Director refutes rumours about Nagarjuna rejecting Rakul

It has been reported by sections of media that Rakul Preet Singh has been asked to stop shooting for ‘Manmadhudu-2’ after Akkineni Nagarjuna watched the film’s first rushes.  The reports have said that she has been asked to come back after putting on weight.  Director Rahul Ravindran has refuted the rumours.

“Contrary to some rumours, Rakul has been shooting with us from day one of the Portuguese schedule. We have all been gushing non-stop about how stunning she’s looking and thanking our lucky stars that we got her. What an incredible talent she is,” the director said on Thursday.

The film will be shot in the European country for the most part.  Vennela Kishore, Rao Ramesh and Lakshmi (yesteryear actress) are part of the cast.  Chaitan Bharadwaj of ‘RX100’ fame is the music director.
