Director Vetrimaran’s ‘Visaranai’ has repeated his finesse in bringing national awards. The film which was unanimously hailed by movie buffs, critics and also the veterans of film industry has won three awards in the 63rd National Film Awards announced today.
‘Visaranaii has been produced by actor Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner. Interestingly Dhanush won the National award for the Best Actor with his performance in ‘Aadukalam’ directed by Vetrimaran in 2011.
A highly elated Dhanush has put a Facebook post conveying his feelings about the award. He has written it in Tamil language to celebrate the honours won by a Tamil film in National arena.
"While taking up certain films we could sense that it will achieve a special place. I am extremely happy for the National award for ‘Visaranai’, actor Samuthirakani and Editor Kishore T.E. Three awards for ‘Visaranai’ mean triple joy for me. It is my duty to thank Vetrimaran for getting three national awards for ‘Visaranai’. I am happy and encouraged by the fact that Tamil people will definitely accept and recognize the films like this. I thank the media friends for being supportive always. "

‘Visaranai’ has also won the Best Supporting Actor Award for Samuthirakani and Best Editor Award for Kishore T.E. who is no more now.
