Are Dhanush & Selvaraghavan cooking another sequel? Red hot updates on ‘Naane Varuven’!

K-town’s popular brothers Dhanush and Selvaraghavan have delivered acclaimed films like ‘Kadhal Konden’, ‘Pudhupettai’ and ‘Mayakkam Enna’ in the past. The siblings teamed up after a long time for the upcoming film ‘Naane Varuven’ with music by little maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The expectations for ‘Naane Varuven’ skyrocketed after Dhanush’s recent release ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ became a sleeper hit. Selvaraghavan directed the story by Dhanush in Naane Varuven, produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu’s V Creations. Dhanush plays dual roles in the film with two heroines: Elli AvrRam and Indhuja.

The makers earlier revealed that Selvaraghavan, who recently became an actor as well with ‘Beast’ and ‘Saani Kaayidham’, has played a pivotal role in ‘Naane Varuven’. The puzzle among the fans is whether Dhanush and Selvaraghavan will face off in the movie or not. A source tells us that Dhanush and Selvaraghavan will not face off against each other on big screens as their characters appear in two different chapters.

Reports also suggest that ‘Naane Varuven’ has a lead for a sequel and we can expect ‘Naane Varuven 2’ soon. It is worth mentioning that director Selvaraghavan has also planned ‘Pudhupettai 2’ and ‘Aayirathil Oruvan 2’ with Dhanush in the upcoming years. ‘Naane Varuven’ is expected to hit the big screens on September 30, clashing with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’.
