Bollywood sources have revealed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recent post on X is allegedly aimed at actress Deepika Padukone. Deepika was initially signed as the female lead for Vanga’s upcoming film “Spirit” but later opted out of the project. She has now been replaced by actress Triptii Dimri. Various reasons have been cited for Deepika’s withdrawal. Additionally, media reports suggested that the film will include several intense romantic and action scenes, and will likely receive an ‘A’ certification.
Reacting to the situation, Vanga wrote on X, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I do it with 100% belief. There’s always an unspoken agreement between us. However, with your actions, you’ve shown your true nature. You not only rejected my story but also pushed down a younger actor in the process. Is this your version of feminism?”
He further added, “As a director, I’ve devoted years of hard work to my craft. For me, making films is everything, something you clearly don’t understand and never will. If you’re going to behave this way, then next time reveal the full story to the public—I won’t mind. You’re playing a dirty business game. All this reminds me of an old saying: ‘A defeated cat goes and scratches any pole in anger.’”
