Robinhood is an upcoming Telugu film generating significant buzz, especially due to the presence of Australian cricketer David Warner alongside Nithiin and Sreeleela. The movie’s trailer was recently launched at a pre-release event and received a positive response.
However, a comment made by actor Rajendra Prasad about Warner during the event stirred controversy. In his excitement, Rajendra Prasad used a subtle derogatory term while addressing Warner, which did not sit well with everyone on social media. Despite this, director Venky Kudumula clarified that Warner took it in good spirits.
Venky explained that Rajendra Prasad’s remark was meant as a joke, but since Warner is not familiar with Telugu, he might not have understood the context. To avoid any confusion, Venky personally explained it to Warner. In response, Warner compared it to the sledging he has experienced in cricket, saying he found it amusing and took it lightly.
The film’s team is already dealing with a controversy surrounding Ketika Sharma’s portrayal in the “Adhi Dha Surprise” song. Aware of avoiding further issues, Venky addressed this matter before it escalated.
