It’s all about titles in Tamil cinema now.
There seems to be a complete shortage for titles in Tamil films. Several titles of the yesteryear films are being recycled now. The likes of Thiruvilayadal Arambam, Nenjam Marappadhillai, Nenjirukkum Varai are few examples. Adding one more to the long list is Thillu Mullu. Also buzz is that Dhanush is planning to do a movie in the middle of this year titled Polladhavan (a movie which starred Rajinikanth a couple of decades ago).
With the State government announcing a tax-exemption for movies titled in Tamil, the producers and directors are keen looking out for Tamil titles.
According to them, it is a safe bet opting for titles of yesteryear films. They are already popular among the masses and they also create an expectation for the films.
