Suresh Productions is said to have acquired the remake rights of the film and what's interesting is, Venkatesh is going to reprise Amitabh Bachchan, who played an old father in the film. Samantha will step into Deepika Padukone's shoes. She will be seen as Venky's daughter in the movie.
