Pollachi sexual abuse: Coimbatore SP transferred!

In connection with the Pollachi Sexual abuse case, Coimbatore Superintendent of police Pandiyarajan has been transferred for revealing the name of the victim, and he has now been replaced by Sujithkumar who takes charge as the new superintendent of Police in the city. The DSP and Inspector also were transferred.

A gang of 4 youngsters who were also politically influential, had been involved in sexually abusing women and threatened them for money and sex, and had captured videos, and the crime was exposed last month after a case was filed by a woman from Pollachi, leading to the arrest of the criminals and they were jailed.

Following the arrest of the criminals, during a press interaction, SP Pandiyarajan had revealed the name of the victim, which was against the law, which lead to widespread protests and angry outbursts of public against the SP. Following this, the home secretary Niranjan Mardi also revealed the victim’s name, and requests arose to take strict action against both of them. Now, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred SP Pandiyarajan and he has been placed in the waiting list, while Sujith kumar replaces him as the new SP.  Besides DSP Jayaraman was replaced by Sivakumar and Inspector Natesan has been replaced by Venkatraman respectively.
