On Monday, the makers of Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Thangalaan’ launched the film’s music album in a grand ceremony in Chennai. We already brought you the highlights of the event. Chiyaan Vikram treated his fans with an extraordinary speech about his inspiring life story to become an actor.
The actor said, “Since childhood, I dreamed of being an actor. My grades were good until the eighth grade, but once I became focused on acting, they slipped. I was always thinking about the characters I wanted to play, choosing demanding roles in school dramas. My passion grew stronger in college, where I won an award for playing the lead in a drama.
But that same day, I broke my leg in an accident. The injury was so severe that doctors suggested amputating my leg. I spent three years in the hospital, undergoing 23 surgeries. Afterwards, I walked with a crutch, and despite doctors saying I wouldn’t walk again, I was determined to recover. My dream was to act in cinema, not just in small roles but in big ones.
Though I faced years of struggle and initial opportunities didn’t succeed, I never gave up. I supported my family through a job while pursuing my passion, even as people advised me to move on. Eventually, after a decade of perseverance, I achieved success. My journey taught me that no matter how difficult the road, you should always pursue your dreams.”
