#MeToo has been a trending phenomenon around the world over the past few years. However, in Tamil Nadu, it was singer Chinmayi who brought the issue to the forefront by alleging noted lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment.
From then onwards, controversy hasn’t come down. While many other actresses and women came in support of Chinmayi, here’s what veteran director Bharathiraja had to say about the issue. Answering a press person on the #MeToo issue, Bharathiraja angrily stated that answers cannot be provided for baseless accusations.
However, as we know, most of the #Metoo allegations don’t have proof, but only anecdotal. However, the truth in these accusations couldn’t be blindly discounted as well. What do you think? Share your opinions.
