It was reported on Saturday that cyber police are targeting those elements involved in spreading pirated copies/clips/raw footage of Telugu films. In this regard, they have already arrested an editor and a few Engineering students by tracing their IP addresses.
The crackdown on pirates and those abetting them or disseminating pirated versions is going to be further intensified. “Whoever circulates piracy clips of films on their social media pages, their accounts will be traced, blocked and they will be punished in accordance with the law. This is a serious notice. Please don’t spoil your careers and don’t try to spoil filmmakers’ career and their efforts and money,” SKN, an industry person and producer, says.
In the wake of ‘Aravindha Sametha’ stills recently being leaked by miscreants, a comprehensive attack is the need of the hour.
