A radical Hindu outfit named Hindu Hi Aage has offered a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs to anybody who manhandles Salman Khan. It’s because the group finds the title of the Bollywood superstar’s home production ‘Loveratri’ quite offensive. The rom-com marks the debut of Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.
As per some Hindu organizations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, ‘Loveratri’ is an offensive spin on the name of the Hindu festival Navratri. There is a demand by some fringe elements that the under-production film should be banned if the title is not changed.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, it is scheduled to be released on 5 October 2018. It has to be seen how the makers will handle the situation.
