Even before Gautamiputra Satakarni came to Balakrishna, the Nandamuri actor had evinced interest in a Krishna Vamsi story. Titled as Rythu, it was said that Balayya's 100th film would be this. In the event, Krish came up with a historical and the actor felt it would be the most apt for his 100th film.
When everybody was wondering what would be the fate of Rythu, here comes the news that it is very much there. That too with the same actor. Speaking on the sidelines of a government programme yesterday in Hindupur, Balayya confirmed that the 101st film would be Rythu with Krishna Vamsi, who is currently involved in the pre-production works of Sundeep Kishan-starrer Nakshatram.
Rythu will be keenly watched out for by the audience. Krishna Vamsi is teaming up with an actor of the last generation's Big Four many years after directing another Big Four actor, namely, Nagarjuna. Unlike Nag, Balayya has a mass hero image. It will be interesting to see how he will project heroism in this film.
