The phenomenal success and widespread appreciation for Thani Oruvan` has made it a hot product in the remake circles. Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi versions of Thani Oruvan` are on the cards.
Now the question in everyone`s mind is whether Aravind Swamy who made the much loved villain character Siddharth Ambhimanyu eternal in Tamil, will be reprising the same role in any of these remakes?
When this question was posed to Aravind Swamy in his exclusive Red Carpet Interview to Indiaglitz, he said, "I will wait for Mr.Mohan Raja, the director of the film to finalize and give his inputs. But the thing is I don`t work in too many films. I rather use my time to do something new. Because we have already done a lot of work for the character. What should be there, what should not be there, how the character should respond, what he should speak, what he should not speak, how he should look, including parts of the story etc. which people like today. We have discussed and done it already as a team. We have made those choices. So The Fun part of it is already over. Now if I do it,I will be just doing it to cater to a different audience and to make some money. All that does not really interest me."
So does that mean that the chances of Aravind Swamy doing the remakes are very remote? "Yeah to be honest that is the truth. But I will respect what Mr.Mohan Raja decides. If he is going to be doing the remakes I will respect what he says".
