A Suresh, the Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, today said that the Intermediate exams will be held from May 5 to 19 as per the schedule. He said that no State in India has suspended Intermediate Board exams due to Covid-19.
“Hon’ble Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy garu has already said that demanding the scrapping of exams is easy to make but is fraught with hazards. Children will face a lot of practical issues in the future if they are passed out at the stroke of a pen,” Suresh said.
The Minister added that no State in the country has scrapped Intermediate exams. “This is something children and parents have to keep in mind. The Centre has left the decision of conducting exams to States. While keeping in mind the reality of Covid-19, States haven’t done away with exams. Governments are keeping the future of children in mind. It’s not proper to politicize this issue,” he added.
The Minister alleged that the Opposition parties are deliberating confusing chilren and parents because they have no legitimate criticism to make agains the YS Jagan government.
