Famous Hollywood star Ana De Armas recently played Dhanush's co-star in 'The Gray Man'. The actress will be next seen portraying the legendary Marilyn Monroe in Netflix's upcoming biopic drama titled 'Blonde', which is adapted from the 2000 novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates.
The most-awaited Blonde trailer premiered online on July 28. It seems that Netflix and Ana De Armas are eyeing the big price in the Oscars race this year. The film tells the tales of Marilyn Monroe in both colour and monochrome and in different aspect ratios. The 2-minute video opens with a mirror shot of Ana prepping herself ahead of a big show in front of the audience.
The clip carries a strong tagline, "watched by all and seen by none." Blonde chronicles the iconic star's constant struggle between her on-screen and off-screen personas. Bobby Cannavale and Adrien Brody co-star as Marilyn Monroe’s husbands Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller. Blonde will be released on Netflix on September 28.
We were shown the frustrated actress stating, "I've played Marilyn Monroe, Marilyn Monroe, Marilyn Monroe. I can't face doing another scene with Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn doesn't exist. When I come out of my dressing room, I'm Norma Jean. I'm still her when the camera is rolling. Marilyn Monroe only exists on the screen." Ana also beautifully recreates Marylin’s iconic white dress moment in the Blonde trailer.
