Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ Craze Hits Lord Ganesha - Deets inside

Over the last few months, the craze for South Indian films has taken over India with the release of movies like Pushpa: The Rise and RRR. It is now reflected in Ganesh Chaturthi as Ganesh Idols inspired by Allu Arjun’s character in Pushpa and Ram Charan, Jr NTR’s character in RRR are going viral on social media.
Several images and videos of a Ganpati idol went viral, where the deity can be seen sitting in a white kurta-pyjama similar to how Arjun wore in the film. The statue also performed Pushpa Raj's 'Thaggede Le' hand gesture.
'Pushpa: The Rise is a Telugu film directed by Sukumar, released in December 2021. The film, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna, emerged as a blockbuster. The film's sequel is currently in the pipeline. Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the antagonist in the movie.
A few days ago Ram Charan's RRR's look-inspired Ganpati idols also surfaced on the internet. Meanwhile, it has been rumoured that RRR is in the race to become India's official entry to Oscars 2023. Other movies rumoured to be in line are Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files.
