Director Lingusamy has issued an official clarification regarding a court verdict in a cheque bounce case and the rumors of an arrest warrant circulating on social media.

In 2016, a loan was obtained from Paceman Finance for a company in which Lingusamy and his brother, Subash Chandra Bose, are partners. A lawsuit was filed in a Chennai court after the cheque issued to repay that amount was returned due to insufficient funds.

The 19th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, which heard the case, delivered its verdict on December 19.

Following the verdict, Director Lingusamy released a statement noting the following:”The court has ruled against us in this case today. However, we have been granted a 30-day grace period to appeal against this order.”

“We will face the allegations against us legally. We are prepared to file a proper appeal in the High Court against this verdict.”

“News is spreading that an arrest warrant has been issued against me. This is completely untrue. I request my friends in the media to avoid such rumors.”

He further requested that unnecessary rumors not be spread, stating that they intend to file an appeal petition within the 30-day window provided.
