ZEE5 Bags ‘Parasakthi’ OTT Rights for ₹52 Crore – Record Deal for Sivakarthikeyan Film!

ZEE5 has acquired the OTT rights for the upcoming film ‘Parasakthi’, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, for a whopping sum.

While the OTT rights remained unsold for some time, reports suggested that some platforms hesitated due to the film’s storyline centered on the anti-Hindi imposition protests. However, ZEE5 boldly stepped in and secured the digital streaming rights for ₹52 crore. This marks the highest OTT deal for any Sivakarthikeyan film to date.

The satellite rights have been acquired by Kalaignar TV. With all rights now sold, the team has decided to release ‘Parasakthi’ on January 14 with grand promotions for the Pongal festival.

Produced by Dawn Pictures, the film features Sivakarthikeyan alongside Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, Sreeleela (her Tamil debut), Basil Joseph, and others in key roles. Music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.

This political historical drama, set against the backdrop of the 1965 anti-Hindi agitation in Tamil Nadu, has generated immense hype and expectations are at an all-time high!
