Actor Allu Arjun is set to star in a new film directed by Atlee, with Deepika Padukone playing the female lead. The film team has officially confirmed Deepika’s role by releasing a special announcement video under the hashtag ‘#TheFacesOfAA22xA6’.
The video, which runs for about 1 minute and 16 seconds, features director Atlee narrating the story to Deepika Padukone. It also shows the screen test sessions where Deepika is seen training for a battle scene, holding a sword while riding a horse—indicating that her character will have action sequences in the film.
The team shared the video calling it “The Queen Has Arrived.” Notably, Deepika Padukone previously appeared in Atlee’s 2023 film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
After completing Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun will begin shooting for this science fiction film, which is being produced by Sun Pictures. According to the production team, the film is being made to international standards and is aimed as a global release or “pan-world” film.
The film’s shooting is scheduled to begin at the end of June. Reports suggest there will be six heroines in the movie, and talks are underway with top actresses from both Tamil and Bollywood industries. Deepika Padukone’s participation has now been confirmed, with other cast announcements expected soon.
