Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated action-drama thriller, Good Bad Ugly (GBU), directed by Adhik Ravichandran, is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on Friday, April 10, 2025. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in this power-packed entertainer.
The filmmakers have confirmed that the movie has completed its censor board formalities and received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The confirmed runtime is 2 hours and 19 minutes (139 minutes), offering a concise and thrilling cinematic experience.
As part of the censor process, the CBFC objected to certain scenes. Approximately two minutes of the film were edited, including the removal of e-cigarette scenes, which were replaced with close-up shots and supported by disclaimers. Moreover, old songs and video clips featured in the film were trimmed, and the team was asked to provide No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for these inclusions.
Certain dialogues, gestures, and scenes deemed inappropriate were either muted or altered as per guidelines to improve overall audience experience.
The film also features Arjun Das in a prominent negative role, with Priya Prakash Varrier, Simran, Sunil, and Jackie Shroff in key supporting roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie’s music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
Good Bad Ugly will be released in Tamil, along with its dubbed versions in Telugu and Hindi, expanding its reach across multiple regions.
