Thala Ajith starrer Viswasam directed by Siva and costarring lady superstar Nayanthara has been running successfully to packed houses. Despite releasing alongside Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj and featuring a huge star cast, Viswasam has been receiving overwhelming response and crowds in theaters.

With the movie having a golden run at the box office, an unexpected and unfortunate event of a fan's death has happened in Pondicherry. Ramkumar, an ardent Ajith fan from Coimbatore had gone to Pondicherry to watch Viswasam in a theater with his friends. As he was clapping, whistling and watching the movie in an excited mode, Ramkumar suddenly fainted.

As his friends thought that he had fainted as he had consumed alcohol, they did not observe him, and only after watching him remaining still even after the end of the movie, they realized that something was wrong. Ramkumar was rushed to the hospital immediately, but the doctors revealed that he had passed away already, and this news came as a shocker for his friends and family.
