Rape and murder threat to Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend actress Rhea Chakraborty

Young Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14th leaving the entertainment industry in utter shock.  Ever since that Rajput’s former girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was questioned by the police and she had given her statement to them.  She has been grieving all the while and regularly posts about her departed love on social media.

On Saturday Rhea Chakraborty lodged a police complaint at Santa Cruz station in Mumbai which she had submitted proof of two Instagram users who had meted out rape and murder threat to her. Speaking to the MM the police DCP, Zone IX, Abhishek Trimukhe said  “On the actor’s complaint, an offence has been registered at Santacruz police station against two account holders for sending obscene and threatening messages,”.

Rhea had posted regarding the shocking threats writing ” “I was called a gold digger. I kept quiet I was called a murderer. I kept quiet I was slut shamed. I kept quiet But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment . I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action . ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”.

The cops have booked the two Instagram abusers under  IPC’s section 507 (criminal intimidation), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and section 67 of the IT Act (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form),
