The passing away of Sanchari Vijay a best actor national award winner has left the film industry in deep shock. He was in a coma after a freak bike accident on the night of June 12th and even though surgeries were conducted he succumbed to his injuries earlier this afternoon.
The 38-year-old Vijay was travelling with his friend Naveen in Bengaluru to buy medicines at around 11:45 in the night. Unfortunately, the bike they were travelling said to have skidded and rammed into a lamppost. Both were seriously injured and were rushed to a nearby private hospital where it was found that Naveen had fractured his leg while Vijay sustained grievous injuries on his head as well as his legs.
Sanchari Vijay portrayed a transgender to perfection in the 2015 film Kannada film ‘Naanu Avanilla Avalu’ which fetched him the Best actor in India recognition. He also received the Best Actor Award from the Karnataka State and Filmfare for the same film.
Kannada superstar Kicha Sudeepa has posted a condolence message on Twitter writing “Very very disheartening to accept that Sanchari Vijay breathed his last. Met him couple of times just bfr this lockdown,,,, all excited about his nxt film,, tats due for release.Very sad. Deepest Condolences to his family and friends.RIP
Sanchari Vijay who was a theatre artiste acted in over a dozen films including Veerappan biopic ‘Killing Veerappan’ in which he portrayed a police officer Gopal. His upcoming films are ‘Aatakuntu Lekakilla’ and ‘Melobba Mayavi’.
