There is a saying that your true love is locked deep inside your memories and the just landed trailer of '96' seems to explore this theme.  The opening seems to be a sort of a school reunion after many years and old flames Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha meet up reminiscing their past love.  Director Premkumar being basically a cinematographer has aesthetically framed the trailer shots cut to the euphoric melody "Peranbe Kadhal".

What a delightful casting coup it is having the fluid Vijay Sethupthi opposite the ethereal beauty Trisha.
