Recently, Ram Kadam, a Mumbai MLA belonging to the BJP, made a horrible statement when he said that he will help those who abduct girls with the intention of marrying them. This criminal and evil statement has shocked many. Needless to say, it has drawn sharp reactions. After witnessing the outrage, the MLA felt that he should apologize to everyone and he promptly did so. But he also added that his statements were blown out of proportion. This shows his insincerity.
The issue has come to acquire a fresh layer of awkwardness with Congress politician Subodh Savji saying that he will gift Rs. 5 lakhs to anybody who chops off the MLA’s tongue! That such a statement has come from a former Maharashtra minister is even more bizarre.
The extreme statements by the two politicians is a new low in politics.
