The trailer of G.V. Prakash’s upcoming thriller film ‘Watchman,’ directed by A.L. Vijay, has been released.
The film also has a dog in the lead, which appears in the second half of the trailer. Although it seems like the dog is a protector of sorts, the film’s hero reportedly revealed earlier that the canine guardian is actually a villain in the movie. The plot, that apparently revolves around the extraordinary events that happen in the life of an ordinary man in one night, appears to be a unique, edge-of-the-seat thriller.
G.V. Prakash reunites with A.L. Vijay after their 2015 film ‘Idhu Enna Maayam,’ but for the first time as an actor. He has previously composed music for several movies of the director, including Kireedam, Madarasapattinam, Deiva Thirumagal, Thaandavam, Thalaivaa, and Saivam. The film’s producers recently released a poster of the dog holding the tag “I am a Chowkidar too,” which is clearly a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent campaign ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar.’
Also starring Yogi Babu, Samyuktha Hedge, and Raj Arun in significant roles, the thriller is bankrolled by Double Meaning Productions. Watchman, which has music composed by G.V. Prakash as well, is hitting the screens on April 12.
