Popular Tamil YouTuber, content creator, and actor VJ Siddhu has officially unveiled the first look poster of his much-awaited directorial debut film Dayangaram (டயங்கரம்), coinciding with the Pongal festival celebrations (January 2026). The poster, shared by the makers, has already sparked excitement among fans, showcasing Siddhu in an energetic and youthful avatar that hints at the film’s vibrant tone.
The film, which marks Siddhu’s debut as both director and lead actor, began its journey with a grand pooja ceremony in Chennai back in October 2025 under the banner of Vels Film International, produced by Ishari K. Ganesh. Shooting commenced shortly after, with the first schedule wrapped up by late 2025. The team is now in the final stages of filming, with only the concluding portions pending.
The star-studded cast includes Natty Nataraj, Kali Venkat, Ilavarasu, Nithin Sathya, Harshath Khan, Kathir, and several others in pivotal roles. The technical crew features top talents: Dinesh Krishnan as cinematographer, Siddhu Kumar composing the music, and Pradeep E. Raghav handling editing.
Dayangaram is a youthful, high-energy comedy-drama centered on the vibrant spirit of today’s young generation. Blending humor, emotion, friendship, and relatable life moments, the story draws inspiration from Siddhu’s own experiences—described by the producer as “his fun, his youth, his livelihood, his life.” The title playfully twists Siddhu’s famous YouTube catchphrase “Bayangaram illa, Dayangaram” (Not terrifying, but awesome!).
The makers have targeted a June 2026 theatrical release, promising a fun-filled entertainer that captures the hustle, self-doubt, and triumphs of modern youth.
Fans who loved Siddhu’s viral YouTube sketches and his performance in films like Dragon are eagerly awaiting this new milestone. With Dhanush having launched the film’s hilarious announcement video earlier, expectations are sky-high!
