In the teaser for 'Virupaksha', Sai Dharam Tej has to overcome a mortal danger that haunts a forbidden village. You can't see it, you can't feel it and you can't touch it. Director Karthik Dandu and screenplay writer Sukumar manage to hold our interest. The suspense will be out when the film hits the screens on April 21 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
"This time, the fight is against the unknown," wrote the film's hero, plugging the teaser.
Sai Chand's character is heard saying that there is a way out of the impending catastrophe. A group of villagers joins their hands in reverence as a religious man lays his hands on an ostensible book of mysteries.
Sai Tej, who plays a gutsy young man who knows how to dare the unknown, looks pretty involved. His absorbing presence is matched by high-end technical values. Shamdat Sainudeen's cinematography looks sharp enough. The night-time shots are vivid. B Ajaneesh Loknath of 'Kantara' fame is composing the music.
Samyuktha Menon of the recent 'SIR' fame is seen in a shot. The period mystical thriller has the production design by Sri Nagendra Tangala.
