Mehreen specifically addressed a report published by DNA India, which falsely claimed that she was married to an individual she stated she has never met or interacted with. She clarified that the information was entirely untrue and alleged that her Wikipedia page had been tampered with, leading to the spread of incorrect details.

“I’m not married to anyone,” Mehreen stated unequivocally, adding a touch of humour by saying that when she does decide to get married, the world will certainly know about it.

The actress also criticized the current state of journalism, pointing out the rise of what she termed “paid articles” and the lack of accountability in publishing unverified information.
