'Virata Parvam' Teaser: Revolution is an act violence

The teaser for 'Virata Parvam' is in step with the tagline of the film: 'Revolution is an act of love'. In fact, the word 'love' in the caption seems to be too literal. Sai Pallavi joins the Naxal movement inspired by the poetry of Aranya (seemingly Rana Daggubati's pen name in the movie). What follows is a revolution sans love and only violence.
Remarkably, writer-director Venu Udugula stages the teaser more as a Sai Pallavi-driven one. Rana, the lead man, starts out with Communist writing, taking to the path of violence. Two suicides, apparently of people close to him, stray him into radicalism.
Priyamani is seen as another naxalite. The teaser, released today by Chiranjeevi (who described it as raw), ends on a disturbing note as Sai Pallavi's character uses a cuss word out of helplessness.
Nivetha Pethuraj has played a cameo, while Nandita Das and Naveen Chandra have got key roles.
Visuals by Dani Salo and Divakar Mani are impressive. Sreekar Prasad and Sri Nagendra have taken care of editing and production design. Suresh Bobbili's BGM is moody. Stunts are by Peter Hein and Stefan Richter. Choreography is by Raju Sundaram and Prem Rakshith.
The film, produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, will hit the screens on April 30.
