As Tamil cinema’s mega superstar Thalapathy Vijay steps away from films to enter politics, his son Jason Sanjay is making his directorial debut in Kollywood. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film’s title was officially unveiled today (November 10) at 10 AM. The movie has been titled Sigma.

Just as S.A. Chandrasekhar introduced his son Vijay as a hero, now Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is stepping in as a director. Vijay, who faced harsh criticism in his early days, has risen to become an unshakable superstar in Tamil cinema. His films are synonymous with box office records, and fans can’t imagine the industry without him. But as Vijay shifts to politics, his heir is continuing the legacy in cinema.

This grand Lyca Productions venture, ‘Sigma’, stars Telugu and Tamil cinema’s leading actor Sundeep Kishan as the hero. The first look poster features Sundeep Kishan in a mass avatar, sitting amidst piles of cash and gold bars with a bandaged hand. It’s shaping up to be an action-adventure comedy – involving a hidden treasure hunt and a high-stakes heist, as revealed by the makers.

Shooting has already wrapped up 95%, with locations including Chennai, Salem, Talakona, and Thailand. The team completed this massive project in just 65 days, thanks to Jason Sanjay’s precise planning and creative freedom, praised Lyca producer Subaskaran. Top technicians like music composer S. Thaman, cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, and editor Praveen K.L. are on board.

Jason Sanjay studied film direction in the US and screenwriting in London. Lyca has given him complete creative freedom for his story. Being made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, ‘Sigma’ is expected to release next summer.
