Thalapathy Vijay is gearing up for the release of his next movie Bigil directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment. The movie is in its final stages of shooting and is set to release this Diwali and recently fans received a huge surprise with the announcement that Vijay will be singing a song in AR Rahman's music.

After Bigil Vijay will be seen next in Thalapathy 64 which is said to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who had debuted with Managaram and has completed Karthi starrer Kaithi which is ready for release soon. Thalapathy 64 will be produced by Xavier Britto who had produced some movies of Vijay in the past.

While it was speculated that Raashi Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna might play the female leads in this movie, the latest speculation making rounds is that Action King Arjun might be playing an important role in this movie and an official clarification is expected soon. It must be noted that Arjun had earlier starred with Thala Ajith in the 2011 blockbuster Mankatha.
