Kollywood-Tollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is known by the title 'Makkal Selvan' in Tamil Nadu, today called on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and donated a sum of rupees twenty-five lakhs towards the COVID 19 relief. He is the latest one to join the list of Tamil actors who have met with the CM to make generous donations. Superstar Rajinikanth, Suriya, Karthi, Ajith, Sivarthikeyan and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others, have already made donations.

The actor, known for his performance in 'Super Deluxe' and 'Master', had a super hit with 'Uppena' this year. He played Krithi Shetty's feudal father in the film. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, it was the debut of Mega hero Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej.
Vijay Sethupathi has a number of upcoming films lined up in Tamil. 'Tuglaq Durbar', 'Laabam', 'Yaadhum Oore Yavarum Kelir', 'Mumbaikkar', 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', 'Annabelle Subramaniam' and 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal' are among his upcoming movies. The last of these co-stars Samantha Akkineni and Nayanthara. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film has completed two schedules so far. It will likely be dubbed into Telugu.
