Vijay Deverakonda is country’s pride to me: Puri

Vijay Deverakonda turned a year older today. The actor has been inundated with birthday wishes from all quarters. His fans are wishing him a great year ahead and a pan-Indian hit in the shape of ‘Liger’ this year. 

Puri Jagannadh, the director of VD’s next movie, went a step ahead and predicted that the ‘Arjun Reddy’ sensation will become India’s pride one day. The ‘iSmart Shankar’ director added that the ‘Geetha Govindam’ star is already country’s pride as per him.

“I saw the fire in your heart. I saw the fine actor inside you. I know what is running in your mind. Your hunger, your madness, your commitment, your humbleness. All these will take you to places,” Puri said in his wishes. 

Later on Monday, the theme lyrical titled ‘Liger Hunt’ will be unveiled. Its producer, Charmme Kaur, described the actor as everyone’s lucky charm. 

Vijay is these days shooting for VD11 in Kashmir. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, this one stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead.
