Supreme Star Sarathkumar is currently working on multiple projects in south Indian cinema including Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu. The popular actor celebrated a working birthday this year as he turned 68 on Thursday.

Friends, family and fans wished the 'Sooryavamsam' actor through social media. Meanwhile, Sarathkumar celebrated the special occasion on the sets of Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu'. The makers, who are currently shooting the film's next schedule in Hyderabad, had arranged a cake-cutting ceremony for the actor on the sets.

The production house shared a few pictures from the celebration on social media to wish the Supreme Star. Sarathkumar was spotted with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. Reportedly, the veteran is playing Vijay's father in 'Varisu' while Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead.

The entire shooting is expected to be wrapped up by September, and the team will be returning to Chennai for the next schedule. 'Varisu' also stars Shaam, Srikanth, Jayapradha, Samyuktha, Yogi Babu and others. Thaman has scored the music. The movie is slated to release in theaters on Pongal 2023.
