Death Threat to Dhurandhar Star Ranveer Singh: Heavy Police Protection at Mumbai Residence!

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh, currently celebrating the massive success of his latest action flick Dhurandhar, has reportedly received a death threat from unidentified individuals.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, a voice note was sent from an unknown number to the WhatsApp of Ranveer Singh’s assistant or secretary. The message demanded a ransom of several crores (reportedly around ₹10 crore). The sender warned of “dire consequences” if the demand was not met.

Mumbai Police suspect the involvement of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang behind this threat. This follows a pattern of recent intimidations involving actor Salman Khan and director Rohit Shetty. Given that a firing incident occurred near Rohit Shetty’s residence on February 1, this latest threat against Ranveer Singh has sent shockwaves through the Bollywood industry.

Following a formal complaint lodged by Ranveer’s team:

Extra security personnel have been stationed outside the Central Mumbai residence of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Over six armed private bodyguards have also been hired.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has launched an intensive investigation to track the origin of the phone number used to send the threat.

The heightened security has caused some unease among other residents of the apartment complex. Neighbors have reportedly expressed discomfort regarding the presence of armed guards in common areas such as the gym, elevators, and playground.

Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for the release of his next project, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. Meanwhile, special police teams are working around the clock to apprehend those responsible for the threat.
