Actor Arjun, affectionately known as the “Action King” in the Tamil film industry, is a multi-faceted talent—actor, director, and producer—who has enthralled audiences with his high-octane action sequences for decades.
While he has recently been seen in powerful antagonist roles in big-budget films like Leo, Arjun has now made a significant decision regarding the future of his cinematic journey.
Arjun’s directorial venture, Seetha Payanam, is set to hit screens on February 14th. During a recent interview promoting the film, he spoke candidly about his future plans.
Despite his menacing performances as a villain in recent films, Arjun stated that he will no longer take on such roles.
“Fans do not like seeing me as a villain. They prefer to see me in strong, positive hero roles as they always have. Respecting the people’s wishes, I will only act as a hero from now on,” he shared.

In what comes as a “sweet treat” for Action King fans, he shared a major update regarding the sequel to his super-hit film, Ezhumalai. He confirmed that the script for Ezhumalai Part 2 is already complete and an official announcement will be made very soon.
Reflecting on his dedication to the craft, he added: “I don’t like appearing ordinary on screen. I want to work hard and maintain my physique for the people who come to the theaters trusting me.”
Even though Arjun left a lasting impression with his villainous turns in films like Mankatha and Leo, his decision to return to lead roles out of respect for fan sentiment has become a hot topic in Kollywood. Following the release of Seetha Payanam, fans are now eagerly awaiting the official launch of Ezhumalai 2.
