Now, we have found out the role that Chiyaan was supposed to play in both films. According to sources, Vikram is the first choice for Rolex's character but then he politely refused because of its short duration. Then, Lokesh approached him again to play the role that Vishal couldn't play in Thalapathy 67. But again due to the duration factor, Vikram denied it. However, we have to wait for an official confirmation.

Reportedly, Chiyaan Vikram will play a powerful role alongside Kamal Haasan in the next installment of Vikram, which will also have Suriya reprising the role of Rolex. Also, there is a strong buzz that Vikram has given his nod to act in a new movie to be produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj and directed by his associate Mahesh Balasubramaniam. Stay tuned.
