Venkat Prabhu to Shoot ‘G.O.A.T’ at Same Location as ‘Manadu,’ Sparking Cinematic Universe Speculation

‘G.O.A.T’ to be shot at same site as ‘Maanadu,’ by Venkat Prabhu, sparking speculation about a cinematic universe

Fans of director Venkat Prabhu are wondering if his next picture, “G.O.A.T” will be a part of his cinematic universe because the film will be shot at the same location as his last picture, “Maanadu.” Anticipations for ‘Kot’ were raised by the critical and commercial success of ‘Manadu.’

Currently directing “G.O.A.T” alongside main actor Vijay, Prabhu intends to shoot a few sequences in Pondicherry for the last phase of production. Previously utilized for “Maanadu,” he got permission from Pondicherry government officials to shoot at the airport. This has fueled conjecture over possible relationship between the two movies inside a same cinematic universe.

The three-day Pondicherry shoot is the concluding stage of filming. Following completion of this, the crew will concentrate on technical and post-production work. With intentions to finish the remaining dubbing in July, Vijay has already finished half of the ‘G.O.A.T’ dubbing. He will devote June, in the meanwhile, to his political duties.

Star-studded ensemble of the movie includes Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Parvathy Nair, Yugendran, and Premji. ‘G.O.A.T’ is an AGS Entertainment production with Siddharth Noone’s photography and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s soundtrack. Heading the production is Venkatarajan.

Fans are waiting impatiently to see if ‘G.O.A.T’ will really link with ‘Maanadu,’ extending Venkat Prabhu’s film world and producing another smash.
