Actor Vadivelu`s fourth film as a lead hero Eli` released last Friday and it has been getting mixed reviews. Many reviewers and social media users have criticised the movie for its lackluster content and failed attempts to evoke laughter.
In a video interview, an apparently enraged Vadivelu who has acted as a 1960s conman in the Yuvaraj Dhayalan directed flick came down hard on those who wrote negative reviews for the film.
While the veteran comedian thanked the fans for making the film a success he accused the reviewers of having bad intentions.
"Every film releases after so many struggles. There were attempts to thwart the release of Eli` and it has released after winning over such attempts. But some people gain pleasure by writing wrong reviews without putting any effort. While there were many reviews appreciating the film, some reviews uploaded on internet made me think whether it was written by a person who was bitten by rat. Most of those who write such wrong reviews with bad intentions may be psychos and sadists."
Vadivelu claimed that Eli` attempts to spread the message against smoking with enormous humor and appealed youngsters to watch the film without fail.
Vadivelu thanks the fans for making 'Eli' a successful movie
