Udhayanidhi Stalin is now not only a producer and actor but also a minister. His upcoming film 'Maamannan' is touted to be his last one as an actor. The ambitious project directed by Mari Selvaraj also stars Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh.
While Maamannan is slated to hit the screens this Thursday, the team is busy promoting the movie. Udhay is taking part in interviews as a part of the film's promotional campaign. In a recent interaction, he revealed that he was supposed to act in ace director Vetrimaaran's script in a project but it didn't materialise.
Last year, Udhayanidhi Stalin teamed up with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's production house Raaj Kamal Films International for the banner's 54th flick. The project was supposed to be directed by Prasath Murugesan of 'Kidaari' & 'Queen' fame. Udhay opted out of the project after he swore in as a minister of Tamil Nadu.
In the latest interview, Udhay said, "Vetrimaaran sir was supposed to write the screenplay for my LAST film which was under Kamal Haasan sir Production. But unfortunately that project got dropped." This news is doing rounds on the internet now. There are some unconfirmed reports that RKFI 54 might be revived with Vijay Sethupathi.
