Udhayanidhi Stalin is going all out to promote his new movie 'Maamannan' directed by Mari Selvaraj. After becoming the state minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu, he announced that this will be his last film as a hero.
During the promotions of 'Maamannan' Udhay shared that there was an anti reservation dialogue in '7 aam Arivu' which he produced with Suriya as hero and A.R. Murugadoss directing. The outspoken actor-politician openly stated that at that time in 2011 he was not much aware about social justice which his grandfather Karunanidhi among other leaders championed. But Suriya asked him to remove the dialogue and thereby averted a major blunder.
'Maamannan' with music by A.R. Rahman is releasing worldwide on June 29th in theaters. The film stars Fahaadh Fasil, Keerthy Suresh, Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu in the title role.
Suriya is currently in nonstop action shooting for the big budget fantasy adventure 'Kanguva' directed by Siruthai Siva in which Disha Patani is playing the female lead. He is next expected to star in a gangster flick directed by Sudha Kongara followed by Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivaasal'.
