Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam, which manages the abode of Lord Venkateswara situated in the holy Tirumala Hills, has decided to launch its web-services in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi, its CEO Anil Singhal has informed.
Devotees have been thronging the holy Tirumala Hills in large numbers during the holy Tamil month of Purattasi. Complaints against management have also been surfacing stating that devotees are being charged ‘exorbitantly’ while parting with their hair as ‘offering’ to the Lord.
Speaking to newsmen in Tirupathi, Singhal said that the complaints were being looked into. “If something untoward was found to have occurred, the concerned would be reprimanded and punished for sure,” he assured.
On another note, he also said that the Devasthanam’s website would soon be offering its services in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages.
