Speaking to a news agency, Rakul Preet Singh has said that she doesn’t see the Telugu film industry as a male-dominated entity anymore.
“The world itself is male-dominated. I don’t think that Tollywood is hero-centric anymore. Times are changing. Take ‘Baahubali’, for example. It was about the strength of Anushka’s character,” she says.
The ‘Nannaku Prematho’, ‘Dhruva’ and ‘SPYder’ actress lauds the likes of Nayanthara, Trisha, Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt for the kind of movies they are choosing. Nayan, for example, has acted in several women-centric outings.
Meanwhile, she has started shooting for Nagarjuna’s ‘Manmadhudu-2’. It is directed by Rahul Ravindran.
