Director Bharathiraja had directed the movie Mudhal Mariyadhai in 1985 starring Sivaji Ganesan and Radha in lead roles, and this movie also featured another young actor Deepan in an important role. After 35 years now the actor is making a return to Tamil cinema in a love story.

Deepan who had quit acting, had been running educational institutions, and is now back to acting with the movie C/o Kadhal which is the official remake of Telugu hit C/o Kancharapalem, and has Jiivi, 8 Thottakkal hero Vetri in lead role and is directed by debutant Hemambar Jasthi.

Reportedly, the director had met Deepan at airport and initially the actor was hesitant to return to acting, but the director was finally able to convince him. Deepan will be paired with Kerala politician Sonia Giri in the movie, and she will be seen playing a Malayali in the movie as well.
