Serial actress Abitha made her debut in the Kollywood film industry by playing the role of Abitha Kujalambal opposite Vikram in the film Sethu. Though the film became a huge success no big offers came to Abitha.

Later, she appeared in serials. She played the role of Archana in Thirumati Selvam serial telecasted on Sun TV. This serial was a huge success. This serial was released in 2007 and was aired till 2012.
